General Cleaning Checklist

• Remove all personal belongings from the property
• Remove all trash from interior and exterior areas
• Sweep and mop hard flooring
• Vacuum all carpeted areas
• Wipe down baseboards and windowsills
• Dust ceiling fans, vents, and light fixtures
• Clean interior windows and mirrors
• Remove excessive wall marks and scuffs
• Replace burned-out light bulbs where accessible

Kitchen Checklist

• Remove all food items from refrigerator and pantry
• Clean inside and outside of refrigerator
• Clean oven, stovetop, and microwave
• Wipe down cabinets and countertops
• Clean sink and faucet
• Remove grease buildup from surfaces
• Sweep and mop kitchen flooring

Bathroom Checklist

• Clean toilets, sinks, tubs, and showers
• Remove soap residue and mildew
• Clean mirrors and countertops
• Sweep and mop flooring
• Empty cabinets and drawers

Bedrooms & Living Areas Checklist

• Remove all personal belongings
• Vacuum carpets thoroughly
• Clean closet shelves and rods
• Remove excessive nails, hooks, or anchors
• Patch small holes if possible

Exterior & Yard Checklist

• Remove all personal items from yard, garage, and storage areas
• Remove all trash and debris
• Mow lawn if applicable
• Remove pet waste
• Return garage remotes, mailbox keys, gate cards, and house keys

Pet Checklist (If Applicable)

• Remove all pet waste
• Vacuum excessive pet hair
• Address pet odors if present
• Clean pet-related stains or damage

Utilities & Forwarding Information

• Keep utilities active through move-out date
• Provide forwarding address for security deposit and notices

Cleaning Expectations

• Property has been returned in reasonably clean condition
• Appliances, bathrooms, flooring, and surfaces have been cleaned
• All trash and personal belongings have been removed

If the property is not returned in reasonably clean condition at move-out, professional cleaning services may be scheduled. The cost of any necessary cleaning may be deducted from the security deposit and/or charged to the tenant as permitted by the lease agreement and applicable Texas law.

Final Move-Out Checklist

• All belongings removed from property
• All doors and windows locked
• Appliances emptied
• Lights turned off
• Keys, remotes, and access devices returned

Security Deposit Information

• Normal wear and tear is expected
• Cleaning, damage, hauling, unpaid balances, or lease violations may result in deductions from the security deposit
• Excessive damage beyond normal wear and tear may result in additional charges
